Reason for application:
To be honest, I commented on a blog that had just gotten “approved” at around 1 am, then ended up writing until a few minutes ago, which I will say was about 5:40 am, and seeing as how I’m just about delirious, figured I’d apply to see if I’d get “approved” too. I hope you enjoy the read, though I warn you in advance, it’s something of a dry read..
Young Mike has a keen interest in current affairs and takes the time and effort to bring highlights from global developments to our attention. He warns in his application that it may be ’something of a dry read’ - many could take this to mean tedious, long-winded or a monotonous droning rant that could bore the shell off an armadillo. I would like, however, to define it more as ‘thorough’.
Boring is being shackled in a dark underground cavern in the bowels of the Middle East for 17 months with only dry Cream Crackers to eat and a single battered copy of ‘Tess of the d’Urbervilles’ for entertainment - but that’s another tale best told in the Coach and Horses after a pint of IPA…

I admire the Colonel so much. He gets to the nub with little preamble and always hits the nail on the head. Talking of head, the Colonel has been trying a new hair restorative with rather impressive results. The Frau has been complaining about the smell but I rather like it.
As usual, I’m backing the Colonel up to the hilt.
